I was very saddened to read recently that 99 of the San Jose locations to help put manufactured tiny homes to help house the homeless in San Jose has been reduced to only four locations. Although I understand the concern of citizens living near the homeless houses, I think they need to see the bigger picture. There are approximately 7,300 homeless people in Santa Clara County, and about 4,500 are unsheltered with the majority living in the city of San Jose.  If nothing is done, citizens will start seeing more and more homeless people in their neighborhoods and more homeless people will die mainly due to a lack of shelter.  More than 100 homeless people died in our county in 2016, and, yes, most were living in San Jose.  Housing homeless people in tiny houses is not an option. It’s a mandatory necessity.  Failure to do so will result in a human disaster within a few years.

The problem where to locate tiny home villages is easily solved:  Use community colleges, They vintage signed danecraft goldtone ballet dancer with rhinestone shoes and bolero brooch/pin have everything needed: Showers; bathrooms; libraries; education classes; job placement; counseling; food service; garbage collection; flea markets; bus service; police supervision; environmental protections; close to shopping centers; and student volunteers, The locations are NIMBY free, Start with De Anza College, Locate the homes on top levels of parking garages or tennis courts,  Evergreen Valley has so much extra open space that trustees are selling to developers, Mission College also has all the same amenities, plus are near tech companies for employment, Foothill and West Valley have high-density vegetation for isolation..

The state Senate will soon vote on AB 634, a bill to allow individual community association members to place solar panels on common area roofs. Current law allows homeowners to modify common use property in common interest developments if two-thirds of the association residents vote in favor of the modification. This bill bypasses that requirement and poses a danger to all homeowners in a community association because it strips them of the protections against property damage, water leaks, and other maintenance and aesthetic concerns associated with installing solar panels.

The bill  also limits an associations’ ability to impose appropriate architectural restrictions and other parameters for installations on common area roofs and other areas, But more than anything, it strips a homeowners’ right to protect their common property from damage through a membership vote, For this reason, we encourage Sens, Jerry Hill, Jim Beall and other senators to vote “no” on AB 634, There seems to be no end to what the California Legislature wants to tax,  First they raised gas taxes and car registration fees, increasing the cost of owning an automobile,  Then cap and trade was passed, increasing the cost of virtually everything manufactured or grown in the state,  Now we have Senate Bill 623 that wants to put a fee on fertilizer and household water bills,  These progressive policies and highly regressive taxes are absolutely vintage signed danecraft goldtone ballet dancer with rhinestone shoes and bolero brooch/pin crushing the people in the bottom half of our economy..

The false narratives that President Trump is mentally unstable or supports white nationalism exist only because those would be an easy excuse for people who haven’t accepted reality – that the vast majority of citizens across the country who elected Trump over Hillary Clinton and support his policies do so because we are thoughtful, caring and good people who happen to believe that conservative policies can best improve living standards across the board, and across the world, no matter race, economic status, religion. It’s that simple. Can we move on to debating real agenda items now?.
