Four couples were in jeopardy: Drew Scott and Emma Slater, Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy, Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke, and Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev. After Drew and Emma, and Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke were declared safe to dance next week, Tom paused and announced, “Vanessa and Maks, Nikki and Artem, you both are eliminated.” The gasps of surprise could be heard from the celebs, the judges and the audience. Erin, who looked amazing in a body-hugging outfit, tried to bring the couples down to chat with her and Tom, but it soon was clear that it was not going to happen. As the guys stood back, Vanessa and Nikki hugged and danced together in the center of the floor. I seriously hope that the viewers’ votes from last week were low for them — and it wasn’t just a ploy to bring the number of competitors down to six — because after last week’s judges’ scores, both couples were tied at 36 points out of a possible 40.

What a night! The pros went over the top with their choreography to show off their celebs in the best light, and the creativity of the numbers were great, When the lowest scores from the judges are 8s and two perfect 30s are given, it’s obvious that this season’s competition is getting tighter and tighter, The couples broke up into groups of four for the “Team Dances,” with their scores added to their individual scores, Team Monster Mash, with Terrell and Cheryl, Nikki and Artem, Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas, and Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold, was the early favorite, due to having two of the leading celebs on the team, But maybe being the underdog pushed Team Phantom of easter fuchsia toddler shoe, spring flower girl shoe, baby ballet flat, toddler ballet slipper, spring wedding shoe, dance shoe, the Ballroom, with Drew and Emma, Vanessa and Maks, Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson, and Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy, to try just a bit harder, In the end, Team Monster Mash got a score of three 8s for 24 from the judges, while Team Phantom of the Ballroom got a standing ovation from the judges and three 10s for a perfect 30..

My Favorite Three. 1. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the team dances, but the routine by Team Phantom of the Ballroom was out of sight! In a take-off to the music of “Phantom of the Opera,” the number was a delight of syncopation and matched moves. Head judge Len Goodman said, “Shut the front door and call me Andrew Lloyd Webber. That was the most polished dance I’ve ever seen in a team dance.” Judge Bruno Tonioli described it as a “splendid theatrical extravaganza,” and judge Carrie Ann Inaba said, “I’m at a loss for words. That was the best, most exquisite team dance ever.” It truly was breath-takingly gorgeous. Scores: three 10s for a perfect 30.

2, I’ll admit I’m cheering for Drew and Emma to do well, and last week was a disaster, But talk about comebacks! Their ghoulish Charleston was fantastic and fun, And even when Emma slipped in the billowy clouds on the floor and Drew fell after her, they both picked themselves easter fuchsia toddler shoe, spring flower girl shoe, baby ballet flat, toddler ballet slipper, spring wedding shoe, dance shoe, up without missing a beat and the judges were convinced it was part of the choreography! Scores: three 9s for 27, 3, Another couple who had a lousy time last week was Frankie and Witney, but this week’s contemporary routine was over-top-spooky with Frankie playing the bad guy working hypnotic moves on a sweet young thing, The rehearsal package showed that Frankie participated in the choreography and Witney welcomed the input, Len said, “I’m not a fan of horror movies, but that was one and a half minutes that I thought was fantastic.” Bruno added, “You two tonight were truly inspired, Spine-tingling good.” Scores: three 10s for a perfect 30..

With some of the best dancers in the competition and some of the most creative pros at choreography on Team Monster Mash, I would have expected something much better than what was performed. Using corn row props that moved in and around the couples, it was tough to keep it straight how each couple was dancing. I was really disappointed and so were the judges. Len called it “a bit messy,” Bruno said it was like “nightmare at the garden center,” Carrie Ann said she thought all of the couples “under-danced.” I’m surprised that the scores were as high as three 8s when they could have been lower.

Next week is the Trio Dances and there’s a twist, Tom introduced Season 1 easter fuchsia toddler shoe, spring flower girl shoe, baby ballet flat, toddler ballet slipper, spring wedding shoe, dance shoe, champ Kelly Monaco, Season 19 champ Alfonso Ribeiro and Season 17 runner-up Corbin Bleu, and announced that they will be “among the stars returned next week” for the Trio Rounds, Now that ought to really be interesting, especially for those who haven’t hit the ballroom floor in awhile, See you next week — keep dancing, Celebrities, partners, judges’ scores plus team scores, Frankie & Witney: Carrie Ann, 10; Len, 10; Bruno, 10 = 30 + 30 = 60Victoria & Val: 9; 9; 9 = 27 + 30 = 57Drew & Emma: 9; 9; 9 = 27 + 30 = 57Jordan & Lindsay: 10; 10; 10 = 30 + 24 = 54Vanessa & Maks: 8; 8; 8 = 24 + 30 = 54 (eliminated)Lindsey & Mark: 9; 9; 9 = 27 + 24 = 51Terrell & Cheryl: 8; 8; 9 = 25 + 24 = 49Nikki & Artem: 8; 8; 8 = 24 + 24 = 48 (eliminated)..
